Information & Policies

  • I don’t know what class I should register my child; can you help?

    • Please sign your child up for the class that corresponds to his/her age.  Most of our classes are based on age and it is best to keep children in a class where they can achieve success.  Parents often want their children in an older or more advanced class than is appropriate.  It is much better and easier to move a child up, if a class is too easy than to move him/her down.  Please have patience with the learning process.

  • My child is on a waitlist, what does that mean?

    • If a class is full, a waitlist is started. We contact the first family on the list, if a spot does come available. They do have 24 hours to accept or decline. We cannot determine if and/or when your child will be offered a spot. We do suggest getting on multiple waitlists or registering for an available class until your desired one comes available.

  • Can my child do a makeup class?

    • YES!  If your child has missed his/her regularly scheduled class, he/she is able to do a makeup class in another available class.  You have 60 days from the absence to schedule a makeup class or it will be forfeited. This must be scheduled with the front desk.  Please go on to our website and fill out our MAKEUP CLASS REQUEST!  The front desk will confirm with you.  We will not be able to accommodate walk-ins.

  • If there is bad weather, is there still class?

    • If the Vestal Central School District is closed, Head Over Heels will not be open for morning classes or Unstructured Playtime. We will be making a decision regarding afternoon and evening classes by 2:00pm (for weekday classes).  As for Saturday classes, we will let families know by 8:00am.  There are cases where the weather improves and we MAY hold evening classes.  Cancellation notifications will be sent to your emails, postings on our social media pages and our voicemail greetings.

  • Can I enroll my child in more than one class per week?

    • Absolutely!  We feel it is most beneficial for students to be enrolled in more than one class a week.  Your child will obtain a sense of routine and this would give your child an opportunity to practice and perfect the more advanced skills. We provide a large discount for multiple-class registration.

  • My child has completed his/her skill chart, now what?

    • When your child is able to advance to a higher-level class, it may be necessary to change the day/time of the class.  When this does occur, please contact the front office to make those changes.  We cannot guarantee there will be a spot available, however, you can get on the waitlists for any desired classes.

  • Will my child always have the same coach?

    • We make an effort to provide a consistent coach for your child’s class on an ongoing basis, however, we do reserve the right to change instructors for any class at any time.

  • What should my child wear to class?

    • Gymnasts and tumblers should wear a leotard or other active wear that would not interfere with the safety of the child. No jewelry and hair should be pulled back for the safety of the child. Ninjas are required to wear his/her uniform to every class.  Ninja uniforms are available for purchase through the office.

  • Are parents and families allowed to watch?

    • Yes!  We have a parent-viewing area you can take advantage of, as you watch your child.  Only enrolled students and staff are allowed in the gym.

Billing FAQ

  • How does payment work?

    • Once you register for an available class, you are enrolled in automatic payments. We charge cards on file the 20th of every month for the following month’s tuition. For example, you will be charged on September 20th for October’s tuition.

  • I would like to withdraw from the program, what do I do?

    • Our automatic payment is the 20th of every month. If you would like to withdraw, we require an ELECTRONIC WITHDRAWAL NOTIFICATION by the 19th of the month, that way your card is not charged for the following month’s tuition. The withdrawal notification can be found on our website.

  • When can I sign up for a class?

    • Whenever!  We have open enrollment at Head Over Heels. We do not have sessions.  If you decide to register for a class mid-month, we just prorate the price that matches the number of classes left in the month.

  • I have multiple children, is there a discount?

    • We are happy to provide a tuition discount of $5.00/additional children from the same family for each monthly tuition.

  • I was enrolled before, can I get back in the same class?

    • Once you withdraw from a class, this does open a spot to the next person on the waitlist. We do not save a spot in a class without payment. Additionally, we cannot guarantee there will be a spot for your child, if you wish to re-enroll.
